What AutoLista does

AutoLista is a marketplace and listing aggregator focused on used vehicles in Costa Rica. It brings together vehicles posted directly by users and public listings from dealers and classified sources so buyers can compare options in one place.

Listing sources and freshness

Listings come from AutoLista users and publicly available seller or dealer pages. Automated import and availability checks refresh the catalog regularly. A source listing may be edited, sold or removed before the next check, so its original seller or dealer remains authoritative for availability and vehicle details.

How market prices are calculated

• Only listings marked active are included.
• Calculations group listings for the same make and model; known duplicate model names may be consolidated.
• Prices below ₡100,000 are excluded as likely placeholders or currency errors.
• A model needs at least five valid active listings before a price page is published.
• The “typical price” is the median, which is less distorted by unusually high or low listings than the average.
• Year-level rows appear only when at least two valid listings exist for that year.

Price pages are recalculated from current active inventory when their server cache refreshes, normally several times per day. Each page shows its data month and sample size.

Important limitations

AutoLista reports advertised asking prices, not completed sale prices or formal appraisals. Estimates do not include financing terms, dealer fees, inspections, repairs, transfer costs or negotiation. Listing information can contain seller errors, and a small sample may not represent every trim or condition.
